Hi everyone!

I and my son have recently moved to Dallas and he is an amazing ceramic artist. I moved here because of a job transfer and he is going to the local community college and trying to meet people without a whole lot of success. Further, the ceramics class is mostly older(ie, moms and grandmothers) women so he's a bit discouraged. Does anyone have any suggestions of where he can meet other artists/clay/ fire folks in the area? ANY ideas are welcome!!! Thanks in advance!

I actually just moved from Dallas. Has he tried the Dallas Crafts Guild. You can find them on line. Still some what of an older crowd but several 30ish people and quite a few guys. Kristine's friday night class is good because it is not fixed- she teaches what ever the students want to learn.

I recamend going to all the art fairs and shows in the area. Lots of great ceramicists there and also lots of artists of all kinds. Also there is a Dallas craft guild and a FT worth craft guild. Both have good facilities and quite a few memebers.
